SPICE Conference 2011 – updated

The SPICE conference 2011 will take place in Dublin. The conference has as its central theme the revision of the standard SPICE (ISO / IEC 15504) to include it in the family of related standards for process assessment (ISO / IEC 33001-99). Papers submitted should deal with the issues of process assessment, process improvement and capability determination. A special focus is given to the process areas testing, requirements engineering and project management.

  • Full paper and extended abstracts submission 28 January, 2011
  • Notification of acceptance 21 February, 2011
  • Preliminary programme 1 March, 2011
  • Final camera of papers due 14 March, 2011
  • Early Bird Registration 1 April, 2011
  • Tutorials and Workshops 30 May, 2011
  • Conference 31 May – 1 June, 2011

As of now there are no keynote speakers known. But we will inform you here with updates.


The keynote speakers have been announced:

  • Michael J Wild – Functional Safety Expert at Motor Industry Research Association
  • Bashar Nuseibeh – Professor of Software Engineering and Chief Scientist at Lero – the Irish Software Engineering Research Centre
  • Carol Dekkers – Internationally recognized expert on the importance of communication and measurement, lean and Kan Ban
